The line up for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010.

The Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership is excited to announce the line up for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010.

Soap actors, business gurus and BBC One Apprentice stars are amongst those that will join events during the week, as well as a world-renowned explorer and the High Commissioner of Mauritius who will be flying in to join the celebrations.  Starting on 15 November, the week-long initiative is aimed at young people across the world and is designed to inspire, connect, inform, mentor and engage young people. During the week young people of all ages will hear inspirational speeches and take part in different activities and competitions.

Mark Prisk MP, Minister for Business and Enterprise, said:

"As Minister for Business and Enterprise, I am delighted to endorse Global Entrepreneurship Week 2010. Now in its third year, Global Entrepreneurship Week brings together university students, school pupils, teachers, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, employees, non-profit organisations and many others to celebrate and promote entrepreneurship across the globe. And this global movement is growing every year, with more and more countries and organisations involved.

"We want to make the next decade the most dynamic and entrepreneurial in the UK's history. The work carried out by organisations such as Youth Enterprise Hull will help us achieve this, and is testament to the dedication across the UK to support and encourage young people to get involved with enterprise and entrepreneurship."

Councillor Christine Randall, Portfolio Holder for Education and Children's Services, said:

"Global Entrepreneurship Week is a great opportunity for young people in Hull to develop their enterprising ideas and learn new skills.

"We want to invest in the future of our city and encourage young people to set up their own businesses to grow Hull's economy and attract further investment. I know that we have lots of talented youngsters in the city and I am looking forward to meeting some of them."

Former BBC Apprentice finalist Ruth Badger is also making a guest appearance. She said:

"I love visiting Hull as it is an enterprising city and I really enjoy sharing my journey with budding young entrepreneurs who really want to make a difference in the business world.

"I hope my visit helps encourage the next breed of business success that the city boasts."
