'Tireless, passionate' philanthropist and businessman Jack Brignall dies

Jack Brignall Chairman of the Wykeland Group, who received an MBE in June for his community has died. Jack was a great supporter of Hull's young people and I had the privilege of working with him on a number of projects . Jack gave a significant donation to the John Cracknell Youth Enterprise Bank a few years ago  in order to support enterprising young people with connections to East Hull, as he felt that it was worth supporting our enterprising young people and taking the risk at investing in them. Jack will be sadly missed and the Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership says many thanks and we will miss you Jack.

Charles Cracknell of the Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership Secretariat said

" Jack was a great supporter of the city's young people and a gentleman who served the city with great distinction - I have known Jack for a number of years and was gob smacked when he gave a donation to the Youth Enterprise Bank he liked the idea of us taking a risk to enable young people live the dream and the fact we supported young entrepreneurs aged under 18"

"the sad thing is we never got chance to thank him further and had intended this year to award him the city's youth enterprise award during Global Entrepreneurship Week in November - however we will still salute his support for our enterprising young people"
