Hull's Badgers Sett Enterprise Challenge deadline of 22nd October

The Badgers Sett Enterprise Challenge will take place again this year with a deadline of 22nd October. It is a competition open to young people aged 21 and under with an enterprising idea such as a new business, a co-operative, community enterprise project or an enterprising project in your school, youth club or college.





The age range and prize money is listed below.
11 and under - up to £500
11 – 16 year olds - up to £750
16 to 18 - up to £1000
19 - 21 year olds if in informal or formal education and training - up to £1500

The winners of each section will get the opportunity to pitch at Global Entrepreneurship Week to double their winnings against a panel chaired by Ruth Badger. All the winners will have the opportunity to access business advice from Maureen Foers OBE Yorkshire's Women's Enterprise Champion and colleagues from Hull’s major telecommunications company KC to further develop their enterprising idea - all entrants in the competition will also have the opportunity to access business advice from a number of Hull's young entrepreneurs including winners of the Badgers Sett Enterprise Challenge in 2010.

The competition is supported by a website designed by one of Hull's young entrepreneur Richard Myers of HWS Hosting to outline what the competition is www.hullbagers.co.uk.
