Right On Rotherham!

Hull's  partners Rotherham Ready and Rotherham Youth Enterprise were voted the Most Enterprising Town in Yorkshire and the Humber, at the regional heats of the Enterprising Britain Competition. At the regional finals Rotherham were supported by a number of young people who pitched to a panel of seven judges - all from the private sector - in Leeds. We understand that they were all a credit to Rotherham and Yorkshire.

The panel of judges said they were 'blown away' by the presentation, which was 'professional and inspirational'. Being the regional winners of Enterprising Britain is a just reward for all the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm shown by literally hundreds of teachers, employers, business people, entrepreneurs and - of course - young people, across Rotherham and beyond, as we know in Hull after we won it last year, that professionalism is essential in the competition.

Dveloping a culture of enterprise is only possible when people from across the authority work together to make a difference, and show passion which we know is the most important ingredient. Hull wishes them well in the national finals, especially as they mentioned our partnership with them, as we did last year. So best wishes to Jackie and Catherine and their teams and to the young people of Rotherham. http://www.rotherhamready.org.uk/
