Solicitors Help Promote Global Entrepreneurship Week 2012

A leading firm of solicitors has added its support to a major business event which aims to celebrate and promote entrepreneurship. Neil Hudgell Solicitors has been unveiled as headline sponsor for this year’s Hull Global Entrepreneurship  Week which runs from November 12 to 18.

During the week there will be a range of activities to give local entrepreneurs the chance to showcase their projects, meet other like-minded inspirational individuals and generally raise the profile of entrepreneurship across the city.  Activities range from enterprise competitions to talks from local role models to large scale conferences. High-profile speakers at this year’s event include former candidates from BBC1’s The Apprentice Ruth Badger and Claire Young.

Hull Global Entrepreneurship Week – part of an international initiative to promote inspirational business leaders – is organised by The Hull Youth Enterprise Partnership which supports and encourages young people aged 8-25 to become more enterprising.  The partnership helps young people to overcome economic and social barriers that deny them the opportunity of economic inclusion, progression and choice, enabling them to reach their full potential in the world of employment.
Managing Director Neil Hudgell comments: “Local entrepreneurs play a valuable and inspirational role in the future prosperity of not only the Humberside region but the UK as a whole

“Any initiative which helps promote entrepreneurial spirit and celebrate local success is to be welcomed and we’re delighted to be involved in this event.”

Neil Hudgell Solicitors – which this year is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary – regularly supports local community initiatives.

Other community initiatives launched to mark the fifteenth anniversary celebrations include:

• The Neil Hudgell Solicitors Trust – a scheme which gives community groups across Yorkshire the chance to bid for up to £1,000 each, with 15 organisations being rewarded every three months.
• Sponsorship of Freddie’s Friends - a charity which was set up in memory of Freddie Appleyard who passed away from a rare brain disease. Freddie’s parents Mark and Rachel, set up the charity to fund specialist equipment and toys and also trips for sick and disabled children in the local area.
• Sponsorship of Yorkshire Coast Radio’s Action Line which provides a promotional platform for local voluntary and charitable organisations to broadcast their messages free-of-charge.
• Sponsorship of community newspaper East Hull Community News.
