Dave invests in future young entreprenurs in Hull

One of Hull's most successful young entrepreneurs, David Garbera, hosted a book launch yesterday night. Mr Garbera has published his second book, Smilers Book Two: Lessons In Enterprise which features his story about setting up his successful business KH Smilers. The book contains a number of tips for young entrepreneurs hoping to follow in his footsteps. Dave set up KH Smilers as a young enterprise company while he was a student at Kelvin Hall School in Hull.

Whilst studying at Wyke College he turned KH Smilers into a limited company and then whilst studying medicine at the University of Liverpool he set up Garbera Enterprise.

Last year, in the Spotlight Awards, he won the title of Young Entrepreneur Of The Year. Most recently, Mr Garbera has been shortlisted for the Mail News & Media Business Awards 2010 for Outstanding Young Achiever in Education & Business Award.

He is donating £1,000 towards the Youth Enterprise Bank and Global Entreprenurship Week in order to give something back to the fund which allowed him to develop his business when he was only 17 and to promote enterprise to young people in the city.
